I went to your store and the staff gave me a free sample of Innova and promised that it would help out dog. Well, it has, and we are so grateful. " I dont seem to understand where this person is getting the idea that fins and feathers puppies are coming from puppy mills. My wife and I bought a yorkie at the end of the summer last year and have had nothing but a great experience with every one in this store. Our dogs breeder is located in virginia and the entire stores staff has gone out of there way many times for us on getting any type of toys, beds, or foods for this wonderful addition. We now have our dog on INOVA which in my opinion is a great food and one that is made in the united states by a company that has not had any recalls on any of the foods. All I have to say in the end I guess is do your research before you start to talk poorly about local pet stores. Not every pet store that sells puppies gets them from these so called "mills". Puppies are like people, not every one is perfect. We all have had something wrong with us at one point or another. Keep that in mind. Theres my $ 0.02."

"I highly recommend Fins & Feathers store. I've had nothing but great experiences with my visits. I'm impressed with how clean they keep things. Staff is very friendly and the owner has always been very friendly and helpful. I think they have such cute puppies and kittens and all appear to be so well cared for. The owner called a couple of times to make sure my puppy was eating and adjusting okay after I had taken her home. I feel they really care and appreciate their customers."

"Fins and Feathers is a wonderful pet store. I went in there browsing one day and told the clerk about a skin problem that my 11 year old Dachshund was having (and in turn bothering my allergies). The man working there recommended that I switch foods. At first I was skeptical because it was a rather expensive brand, but he assured me that it would make the difference and he also said that I could return it (even if empty) if I was unsatisfied. So I took it home and switched. Not only does my dog love the food but his coat is beautiful-and no longer bothering me! I am now continuing to drive an hour and 15 minutes all the way from DC to get my food there. I can tell that the owner and workers there are not only well educated when it comes to animals but also really care about their customers. They will go above and beyond to care for you and your pet. We should all really strive to support a local store owner in these hard times especially one as wonderful as this.
I would also like to make a statement in response to some of the slander that has been written about this store. I don't know the owners personally-as I said I drive from DC to shop there but it is very indecent for someone to make such harsh and incriminating statements towards a business that just trying to survive in a "PetSmart" world. It is not uncommon even for the best stores to end up with an unhappy customer. The fact that this customer made proof-less accusations publicly is very wrong. They also said that they had spent $10,000 fixing the health of the puppy that they had purchased....had they been dissatisfied in the beginning, I am sure that they could have exchanged the puppy. Can you sue the hospital if your child is born with a disease? No. That is just absurd. Finally, support Fins and Feathers by doing your business there at a store that really cares, rather than one that's just trying to make a buck and getting rich doing it! "

"Fins and Feathers is where my sons first fell in love with cats. Even though we'd moved out of Ashburn, when we decided to buy a cat this is where we came for one. We love our black kitten Filfil (Pepper), she's the sweetest, nicest, loving, sanitary, most adorable cat we've seen. Anytime we come near Ashburn we stop at the store to say Hi and pet the different animals. Fins and Feathers has to be our favorite pet store."

"I have always had a good experience at Fins and Feathers. I love going in there and playing with the dogs and birds. They have never told me I couldn't just come in and hang out. I have bought other small animals and they were very healthy. I just recently called to say a dog collar they sold me broke. It was a Lupine and guaranteed for life. The collar was over a year old. I called and told them that my dog had chewed the plastic snap off. The lady who answered the phone knew exactly what pattern it was and without hesitation told me to bring the collar in for a replacement. No questions asked and no argument for a receipt. Several people I know have gotten puppies from them and are very happy dog owners. So keep up the good work." - crystal k.
"have been to many pet shops in Northern Virginia and have purchased several pets. I am very happy with the pets from Fins & Feathers. I have to say that their approach is more personal than most of the other stores. It's not just about the sale. They are really interested in the care of the pet. I have purchased a bird and a puppy from Fins & Feathers. During both purchases, they followed up with telephone calls to make sure that the pets were adjusting to the new environment. I go back on a regular basis to purchase food and toys and am always greeted with "How you doing" and "How are the babies"? I would recommend Fins & Feathers to all. My next purchase will be a "reef tank", they have the most information and don't run up the bill adding needless equipment.

I was in Fins and Feathers on Monday night. This is a VERY CLEAN Store. It's a "good old fashioned Pet Shop". The atmosphere is great, the service was wonderful; all the animals are VERY well taken care of and are very healthy looking too. I did not think the store was "over crowded", or messy. I purchased a kitten from there, which I am SO happy with. My vet, (which is the one that Fins and Feathers uses too) gave my Kitten a clean bill of health. The store owners were very caring about my kitten, asked me to send pictures and to "keep in touch". I could also tell that they meant this. The review that states the "Store was dirty", and the animals were over crowded is VERY wrong. I think that perhaps, the writer is a competitor, and don’t want Fins & Feathers to have as good of a reputation as they do. You could eat off the floor in there. I will recommend them to EVERYONE I know. I will also go back there a lot. So. Let’s not be mean and low about other people’s establishments. This pet shop is grade A!!!!! Wonderful Shop!: The owner was very informative and friendly. All of her birds were handfed and amazingly quiet. I expected to walk in and hear squaking and sqeaking of all kinds, but was suprised how quiet it was. The puppies were absolutely the cutest, cleanest, sweetest dogs I have ever seen in a pet store. The owner went over all of the guidelines she uses to ensure that all dogs come from reputable breeders. I was amazed at her prices as well. She was asking $600 less for an AKC registered beautiful pure bred puppy than the poor example Fox Mill Pets showed me. I live about 45 minutes away, but this place is worth the trip. I stop in pretty often and have yet to be dissapointed!"
